Organic Ginger

A popular culinary spice, ginger has also long been known for its healing qualities. Traditionally used in the UK in ginger beer, ginger bread, ginger biscuits, it is now also widely used to flavour curries or soups. Try it with lemon and honey as a medicinal tea.

Wash before eating.

* Like us, not all fruit or vegetables are perfectly formed. We don’t believe in discriminating against misshapen carrots or imperfect potatoes and in fact, love them for their flaws. A less than round apple is still as tasty as their perfectly formed cousins. Unless your produce is clearly defective, please accept them as Nature intended.

Health benefits

Ginger is reported to reduce the feeling of nausea associated with motion sickness. It also has along tradition of being effective in alleviating stomach discomfort, helping to eliminate excessive gas from the digestive system and soothing the intestinal tract. Ginger contains very potent anti-inflammatory compounds called gingerols. These substances are believed to explain why so many people with osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis experience a reduction in pain.
Although a wonderful therapy for many, ginger contains moderate amounts of oxalate. Individuals with a history of oxalate-containing kidney stones should avoid overconsuming ginger. If you're unsure or concerned whether it is safe for you to consume ginger always consult your doctor.
