Behold the Levain, otherwise known as an Off-White Sourdough! Lovely and crusty on the outside and a succulent honeycomb on the inside with a slightly tangy sourdough taste.
Try with some of Acorn Dairy’s organic butter and/or with avocado mashed on top!
Great when fresh but also perfect to use for toast after a couple of days.
* Sourdough is made by the fermentation of dough using naturally occurring lactobacilli and yeast. Sourdough bread has a more sour taste and better inherent keeping qualities than breads made with baker’s yeast. It’s also reputed to be better for you!
