Pink Pickled Mouli

This pickled mouli product is radish cubes, pickled in sweet, sour, and mildly salty brine, it has very refreshing flavour and provides a colourful crunchy twist. The lovely pink colour comes from hibiscus flowers being infused into the pickling liquor. It’s popular in Korea and is eaten with fried chicken, hence: “chicken mou” (n.b no chickens were used in its manufacture!

Ways to enjoy: pair it with Korean fried chicken, roast chicken, bbq or grilled meats. vegan or non-vegan sandwich, wrap, stuff in fried tofu that will give you sweet and sour crunch.

These products are best kept in the fridge. This is because, they are ‘raw, live and unpasteurised’ and so full of the heathful gentle bacterias and pro-biotics. If they get warm, they will begin to ferment again, the living bacteria will produce carbon dioxide, the lid may bulge, and liquid may begin to leak out under the pressure. This is perfectly natural and demonstrates the bio-activity of the products. This does not mean the products have ‘gone off’.
