This Rhubarb, Ginger and Chilli Preserve is made with both Rhubarb that’s been swapped for sauces from lovely people in Witton Gilbert village (Co. Durham) and homegrown Rhubarb from the Chimp garden.
The Habanero chillies and apples inside are also homegrown in the Chimp garden and greenhouse.
Enjoy this wonderfully fruity preserve with meats, or a ploughman’s lunch.
It will go great in stews and casseroles. We tried it on ice cream and it was delicious, or simply spread it on toast when ever the mood takes you.
